Bio:

Filippa Kaye is a highly skilled and versatile stage and film actress based in Athens and London. With a passion for performing arts, Filippa has dedicated herself to honing her skills and achieving notable accomplishments throughout her career.

With a strong foundation in professional dance and musical theatre from her three-year diploma at Laine Theatre Arts, Filippa's talent extends beyond acting. She is also a highly skilled musician, proficient in playing the guitar, bass, and piano. The last couple of years she started exploring the world of Classical singing under the guidance of Panos Dimas, who is a lyrical baritone and a professor at the National Conservatory of Greece. Filippa is captivated by the classical repertoire and is thrilled to be venturing into this form of art.

Miss Kaye's stage credits include impressive roles in various productions, demonstrating her versatility as an actress. She has portrayed characters in both musicals and plays, such as in "Haymarket: A New Musical" where she originated the role of Joanna Fisher in London, a production of "Follies" in Epsom where she played Hattie Walker, and most recently, in 'After Death' by Ivan Turgenev, where she played the role of Klara Militch, an upcoming opera singer who dies for love.

Not limited to stage work, Filippa has also made appearances in film, TV series, and commercials. She was recently involved in the filming of "So Long, Marianne", a limited series set to explore the life of Leonard Cohen and has had roles in other projects such as "The Clinic" and "Brave New World".

Furthermore, Filippa's creativity extends beyond performing, as she is an aspiring composer. She has composed an original musical titled "Entwined," which was workshopped at Laine Theatre Arts, and is currently working on an untitled Murder Mystery musical. As a young student, she has won the 1st prize in the National Youth Music Competition of Greece (X.O.N.), for her original song "Live In A Lie".

Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of talented individuals in the entertainment industry. Notable collaborations include working with directors such as Øystein Karlsen, David Leitch, Simone Stone, Tudor Davies and Andrij Parekh, and the renowned Musical Director and conductor Stephen Brooker. She has been training in Method Acting with Sam Rumbelow and has had the privilege of working professionally alongside esteemed actors such as Alden Ehrenreich, Alex Wolff, Anna Torv, Sian Gibson, Ashley Walters and others.

Filippa Kaye is very excited to participate in this year's Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival with the production of "Flavio" as she is surrounded by wonderful artists that she looks up to and inspire her to continue her classical journey. Later this year, she will also be taking on the role of Cosette in the renowned musical "Les Misérables" at the "Hellenic Cosmos" Theatre, in Athens.
